With trepidation and excitement the August, highcountry PFF backpack to the lair of the famous golden trout started on Aug 20. In this case the search for TES (Trout of Enormous Size) often coincides with the search for fame, fortune and glory. The end result is Grand Adventure, Travels to Exotic Waterfalls, and sharing a mountain sunset reflected in a quiet lake with friends at the PFF.

Single Bound
Some people expect the difficulty of this kind of trip to be equivalent of scaling vertical walls in a single bound

Sleep
Others, who understand the little known fact that the ground gets harder with age, will know the importance of testing repeatably and often for locations of soft ground on a trip such as this.

The Truth? Like all big fish stories is some where in between. So this is the story of those four adverturous souls who feel young at heart and dared to go on the August PFF fishout. But sure enough, the pictures tell the whole story.

The path started at Bear Creek Diversion dam. Up Bear Creek to Sandpiper lake, over to Marie Lake and up the Selden pass. Eventually returning by boat at Florence Lake
