August Workshop - Knots & Fly-Tying

There seemed to be a bit of interest at the June workshop regarding knots so Richard Izmirian (Former PFF President and Life Member) has volunteered to lead the discussion. Focus will be on terminal knots, specifically the Eugene Bend. Bring some leader or tippet material and hooks/flies (or a substitute) to practice.
For the tyers, we will tie a CDC Thread Frenchie. CDC on a nymph you say? Yes we do. We'll discuss the whys and also talk a little bit about hotspots and why they work on euro nymphs. If you'd like to bring a vise and tie along, here is the materials list (substitutions are fine):

#14 or 16 nymph or jig hook
2.5 - 3.5 tungsten bead - silver, gold or copper (slotted bead for jig hooks)
Olive or dark brown 70 denier thread
Small wire for rib - silver, gold or copper
CdL for tail
CdC for collar - any darker color will do (just not white)
Hotspot material - Ice dub or thread in your choice of color
Thin UV resin and a UV lamp for curing (we can share mine if you like)
