PFF Volunteers Needed for Angler Surveys

PFF members - it's winter steelhead season on our local waters at Pescadero Creek, only 14 miles south of Half Moon Bay! Besides getting a shot to fly fish for native, wild California steelhead, you can help us by volunteering to conduct angler surveys that we submit to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, to help restore the creek's native steelhead run and to potentially have Pescadero Creek admitted to CDFW's Heritage and Wild Trout program. PFF is working with Trout Unlimited, California Trout and CDFW on this program.
More information is available (including how to volunteer) on our site for
Pescadero Creek Angler Surveys.
Additionally, for PFF members only, check out the
November 2020 presentation by TU's Tim Frahm on his Central Coast Steelhead Initiatives. Toward the end of his presentation, he answers questions on fly fishing the creek.
